Misadventures in Writing, Filmmaking, and Photography
Learning Tree Films
Learning Tree Films is the name I’ve given to my little production studio. The goal of LTF is to encourage people to leave their comfort zones and explore the world. I hope my films can inspire you to go out on your own journey!
You see it, world sees it but of those who should, sadly, only some do (and I’m not even sure of that!).
‘From India to Canada’
The city of dreams, Bombay. Despite all its discomfort and the strange mix of alienation and love it offers, it happens to be my most favorite city so far..!
hahah I know about the Gateway of India, that was a mistake that I didn’t catch until after the editing! I’ve gotten lots of grief from some friends about that one 🙂
And you’re probably right about those who ‘see’ and those who don’t…
The ones I’m most proud of were the one about Hampi and the short doc I made about this non-profit group based out of my campus.
‘i had the impression of falling from one dream into another’.. well said..! what wonderful thought about journeys.. looking back, they are all dreams.. surreal-real.. aren’t they..?
Ajai’s innocence made me smile and almost-cry in the same breath.. the kid wants to grow up to be an auto-rickshaw driver..! not that it is demeaning in any manner.. just that how the horizons of dreams differ… can just imagine how fascinated his kiddie-eyes must be at the sight of the rickshaws.. hope all Ajais dream and make them come true..! Thanks for telling this one story..!
‘World Apart’
You see it, world sees it but of those who should, sadly, only some do (and I’m not even sure of that!).
